OIL SPILL IN THE GULF OF MEXICO (DEEPWATER HORIZON)

The Deepwater Horizon oil spill, also called the BP Oil Spill, the Gulf of Mexico oil spill or the Macondo blowout, is a massive ongoing oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, especially now considered the largest offshore spill in U.S. also world’s history.
The spill followed a big explosion known as “Deepwater Horizon drilling rig explosion” 20 April 2010. Unfortunately this explosion also killed 11platform workers and injured 17 workers.
But especially after this explosion the spill didn’t stop and the gusher, estimated to be flowing at 12,000 to 100,000 barrels (500,000 to 4,200,000 US gallons; 1,900,000 to 16,000,000 litres) per day, originates from a deepwater wellhead 5,000 feet (1,500 m) below the ocean surface. Even from these datas we can understand that what a big disaster it was. The thing is the exact spill flow rate is uncertain – in part because BP has refused to allow independent scientists to perform accurate measurements and until now it has still been spilling.
Experts from all around the world have already decided that this explosion is one of the worst explosion cause even if we want to check the datas which we mentioned above, it is clearly seen. They draw attention to the spill will make an environmental disaster, with marine and wildlife habitats and this spill also damaged the Gulf of Mexico fishing and tourism industries and maybe only according to the experts but also for many people who are interested in this event draw attention to an another point; The U.S. Government has named BP as the responsible party in the incident and especially The U.S. President Barack Obama used really heavy manner against to BP also for this event.
From now on it is really hard to guess what it will happen to especially the relations between BP-U.S. Government but we can clearly see one thing obviously; THE HABITAT WON’T BE SAME AGAIN IN THIS REGION “unfortunately”…
