Interview with Maja Založnik

Maja Založnik

 1.Can you tell us a little bit about yourself?

As you know,  I am Maja Založnik from Slovenske Konjice. I have finished tourism school and now I work in a tourist agency. I love to work with people, sometimes it gets rough, but most of the time I enjoy it. I love is to impress people with my voice. I always loved singing and through the years I wanted to sing more and more and now it became my passion and desire. I enjoy being on the stage and giving people happy feeling when they hear me. Now music has become a part of me, which I can not live without anymore.

2.How did you start your music career? What was the reason of starting to sing?

I said I always wanted to sing. At the begining my role model was Withney Houston, then Mariah Carey and now Aretha Franklin. I was always miming and singing in the shower. When I was about 8 years old my grandparents were at war in Croatia, so we couldn't see each other so often. Then I started to record tapes for them, so they could hear my voice and what I was doing. And I started to sing to them. At the begining it wasnt so good, but through the years I have realised I can not live without singing. And so later I started to sing in one band and my singing career started. And now I am active in two bands and a solo project.

3.Can you tell us about your band Luminodoche?

LuminoDoche is my band where I started to be on the stage and active with my band. I started to see music from other perspectives. We love to play together and make good music. Now we have little problems with place to practice. But we are planing to do some new music and to make some good shows.

4.What will your future plans/programme be about?

I am planning to record my own songs. A lot of help and thanks goes to my pianist Tadej Gruškovnjak. Without him I wouldnt have started my solo career and of course to show people my music and my voice and what i'm made of.
